Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Diamond Point Ventures LLC, doing business as JudgeMental (“JudgeMental,” “we,” “us”), collects, how we use it, what is public, and the choices you have. The short version: cases are public entertainment, your sign-in email is private, and AI systems process what you submit in order to run the courtroom.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information — your email address and, if you sign in with a third-party provider, the basic profile that provider shares (such as name and email). Anonymous guest sessions are accounts without an email.
- Content you submit — filings, responses, comments, display names, and anything else you write on the Service.
- Activity — jury votes, likes, cases viewed, features used, and similar interaction data.
- Payment information — handled by Stripe. We receive subscription status and transaction records; we never store your full card number.
- Technical data — IP address, device/browser type, and log data collected automatically for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.
2. How We Use Information
- to operate the Service: run proceedings, generate verdicts, display cases, and process payments;
- to create shareable media (images, clips) from public cases;
- to send transactional email about your cases and account;
- to enforce limits, prevent abuse and fraud, and keep the Service secure; and
- to understand usage and improve the Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context targeted advertising.
3. AI Processing of Your Content
What you submit is processed by AI systems — primarily models provided by Anthropic — to run interrogations, generate verdicts, moderate content, and produce share copy. Submissions are sent to these providers under their API terms for processing. We do not use your content to train our own AI models.
4. What Is Public
Cases are public.What you write in a case — your statements, responses, display name, and comments — and what the AI judge produces about it can be displayed publicly on JudgeMental and rendered into shareable media. Jury-vote totals and engagement counts are public; how you individually voted is not shown publicly.
Your email address is private. It runs your account and receives case notices; it is never published as part of a case.
5. Service Providers
We use a small set of processors to run the Service, each receiving only what its function requires: Anthropic (AI processing), Stripe (payments), Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Vercel (hosting), Amazon Web Services (media rendering), Resend (transactional email), Cloudflare (bot protection, described below), and ElevenLabs (voice rendering, where enabled).
Bot protection.We use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish human visitors from automated traffic on sign-in and account actions. Turnstile runs invisibly and processes technical signals such as your IP address, TLS fingerprint, and browser user-agent solely to detect and block bots — not to identify or profile you. This processing is described in Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
6. Sharing for Legal Reasons
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process; to enforce our Terms; or to protect the rights, safety, or property of JudgeMental, our users, or others. If our business is transferred (merger, acquisition, sale of assets), information may transfer with it under this policy's protections.
7. Data Retention
We keep account data while your account exists and content while it is on the Service. Security and abuse-prevention logs are kept for a limited period. Transaction records are retained as required for tax and accounting. When content is removed, copies may persist briefly in backups before cycling out.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You can request a copy of your data or deletion of your account and content by emailing privacy@judgementalapp.com from the email address on your account (this is how we verify the request). We respond within 30 days.
What deletion does: your account is closed, and the cases you filed, your responses, and your comments are removed from the Service or anonymized. Shared media already rendered from public cases may take longer to purge, and limited records may be retained where the law requires (for example, payment records).
If someone else wrote about you:you do not need an account to ask for review or removal — use the Content Removal form.
9. Children
The Service is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it. Contact privacy@judgementalapp.com if you believe a minor has used the Service.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections, access controls, row-level data isolation, and rate limiting — to protect information. No system is perfectly secure; treat anything you post publicly as public.
11. International Users
We operate from the United States and process data in the United States. By using the Service you understand your information is processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection rules than your jurisdiction.
12. U.S. State Privacy Rights
If your state's privacy law grants you rights to access, delete, or correct personal information, the process in Section 8 is how to exercise them. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, so no opt-out is needed for those.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy; when we do, we will update the date above and, for material changes, provide notice through the Service.
