Terms of Service

Effective: July 2, 2026
Last updated: July 2, 2026

Welcome to JudgeMental. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of JudgeMental (the “Service”), operated by Diamond Point Ventures LLC, a Washington limited liability company doing business as JudgeMental (“JudgeMental,” “we,” “us,” “our”).

1. Agreement to These Terms

By accessing or using the Service — including browsing cases, voting, commenting, filing a case, or accepting a summons — you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Certain actions (filing a case, accepting a summons) also require a specific acknowledgment at the time of the action; that acknowledgment is part of your agreement under these Terms.

2. The Service

JudgeMental is an entertainment platform where users submit petty interpersonal disputes and an AI-generated judge persona delivers theatrical verdicts. Cases, verdicts, jury votes, and comments are part of an entertainment experience.

JudgeMental is not a court, mediator, arbitrator, or legal service. Verdicts produced by the Service are AI-generated entertainment content. They have no legal force, no binding effect, and no precedential value, and they are not findings of fact about any person. Nothing on JudgeMental constitutes legal advice. Do not rely on the Service to resolve actual legal disputes — consult a licensed attorney for those.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using JudgeMental, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly permit their use of it.

4. Accounts and Guest Sessions

You may use parts of the Service through a signed-in account or through an anonymous guest session created when you first act on the Service (for example, by voting or commenting). Guest sessions are real accounts for the purposes of these Terms: everything you do through one is your activity, and these Terms apply to it.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account or session. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts or sessions that violate these Terms, behave abusively, or compromise the Service.

5. Your Content and What You Say About Others

“Your Content” is anything you submit to the Service — filings, responses, comments, names, and other material. You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, publicly display, and distribute Your Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service — including processing it with AI systems to generate proceedings and verdicts, and rendering it into shareable images, clips, and other media. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from the Service, except for content already incorporated into generated works or shared media, and copies retained as required by law.

You are solely responsible for what you submit — especially what you say about other people.Cases are public entertainment, not sworn testimony; do not include real last names, contact details, workplaces, or other identifying information about people who have not chosen to take part. You represent that Your Content does not violate anyone's rights and that you have the right to submit it. We do not verify claims made in cases.

6. AI-Generated Content

Verdicts, judge commentary, questions, and related material are generated by artificial intelligence. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, unfair, or absurd — sometimes by design. It is entertainment, not information, and must not be treated as a factual statement about any real person or event.

Some cases, comments, and other content and activity on the Service (including jury votes) are AI-generated and may appear user-submitted.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • harass, threaten, defame, or dox any person, or submit private or identifying information about someone who has not chosen to participate;
  • accuse any person of serious criminal conduct — the Service adjudicates petty grievances, not crimes, and filings alleging serious crimes may be blocked or removed;
  • submit content involving or targeting minors, or any illegal content;
  • impersonate another person, misrepresent your identity to summon someone, or accept a summons intended for someone else;
  • interfere with the Service, circumvent rate limits or access controls, scrape at scale, or abuse free-tier mechanics; or
  • violate any applicable law.

8. Moderation and Content Removal

We may (but are not obligated to) review, screen, hold for review, redact, or remove any content, and may restrict or terminate access, at our discretion — including through automated systems. If you, or someone written about in a case, want content reviewed or taken down, use the Content Removal form or email legal@judgementalapp.com.

9. Subscriptions, Credits, and Payments

Paid subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until canceled. You can cancel anytime from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid features until then. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details. Prices may change with advance notice — changes apply at your next renewal.

Credits and similar in-Service balances are a feature of the Service, have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may expire or be adjusted if obtained through fraud or abuse.

10. Refunds

The Service is digital entertainment delivered immediately; except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact legal@judgementalapp.com and we will review it.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, judge personas, and the JudgeMental name and branding, is protected by intellectual-property law and belongs to us or our licensors. Except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation.

12. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email legal@judgementalapp.comwith the content's location, a description of the work, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized. We will review and respond.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 5, 6, 14, 15, 16, and 17) survive.

14. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR APPROPRIATE.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JUDGEMENTAL AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR ANY CONTENT ON IT — INCLUDING CONTENT SUBMITTED BY OTHER USERS AND AI-GENERATED CONTENT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

16. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms — including claims by any person you wrote about in a case.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at legal@judgementalapp.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

18. Changes to the Service and These Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; when we do, we will update the date above and, for material changes, provide notice through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

19. Miscellaneous

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
